Linkwood 1954 Bottling Note

A rare 43 year old from Linkwood, distilled in 1954, matured in first fill sherry hogsheads and bottled in 1997 by Gordon and MacPhail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is big and fruity. A rich musty wood with notes of bourbon, beeswax, allspice and floral notes. The palate is full and very well-oaked with a chewiness. A very subdued peat with a touch of smoke, herbal notes and a barley sweetness. The finish is long and fruity.

Linkwood 1954 (Gordon & MacPhail) Reviews

C Hatifield, Bucks

I first purchased a bottle in 2000, and I have been buying it regularly since. Scrumptious! Also, gentle on the palate with a smooth oak after-taste.
