Ledaig 10 YO 2005 #10987 Bottling Note

Ah, Ledaig. A peated malt from Tobermory that struts its peaty stuff with a confidence usually reserved for Islay malts. This bottling from Douglas Laing was matured in a single refill hogshead that yielded 349 bottles after ten years.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Gristy peat - ka-pow! Sweet spices and a little brown sugar develop.

Palate: More oaty cereal cooked over peat bricks, touches of seaweed and pine.

Finish: Warming with lasting smoke.

Overall: Always great around this age (and even younger), well worth a try if you like your peat.

Ledaig 10 Year Old 2005 (cask 10987) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing) Reviews

Amazing

Get yourself a bottle of this. I've always loved ledaig and this is no exception and this one has a very good amount of peat. I think that ledaig is now offering better quality than most islay malts on the market.
