Lp8 - Elements of Islay Bottling Note

The eighth single malt from the Elements of Islay series, this 'Lp; from a distillery on the south coast of Islay is a composition of a 1998 vintage Laphroaig that was created from 3 ex-Madeira wine casks. Bottled at cask strength, 53.5% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sooty smoke, iodoform, blood orange and sweet barley form an interesting aroma.

Palate: Cherry drops, dried figs, and gentle toffee sweetness. Walnut brittle and notes of vanilla develop, with stem ginger and drying oak.

Finish: Muddy peat and soft earth surround cigar leaf and wild red berries.

Overpriced
