A single cask bottling of 16 year old Laphroaig, distilled in 2000 and bottled in August 2016 by the chaps from Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. 315 bottles of this tasty Islay whisky were produced, and released as part of La Maison du Whisky's 60th Anniversary.
Nose: Seaweed, oatcakes, brown sugar and touches of zesty citrus fruits.
Palate: Crisp cereals and almond-topped pastries. Camphor and medicinal peat. Big chunks of mink chocolate.
Finish: Peppery smoke, salty liquorice and juicy pear.
