This was distilled at the Laphroaig distillery on the 4th April 1995, and it was aged for 16 years in bourbon barrel 47 before bottling by Signatory for its Cask Strength Collection on the 25th October 2011. A release of 218 numbered bottles. We love bourbon-matured Laphroaig!
Nose: Fruity and buttery, lots of vanilla spice, big smoke, lemon, tar and golden syrup. Delicious.
Palate: Smoked meats, kippers, lemon zest, buttery bourbon notes, toffee, iodine and malt.
Finish: Butterscotch, gingernut biscuits, custard and a hot bonfire of smoke.
