The nose is of medium-body with a strong barley note. There are notes of sultanas and mixed peels, a chewy feel. The palate is quite full with a good balance and a smoothness. There are notes of winter fruitcake and sherried peels, a touch of orange and a little oak. The finish is long and well-oaked.

Just found an old bottle of Aged 5 Years. Absolutly Soft tasting Scotch. Better today than 30 years ago. This product is not part of the Ian Macleod Branded Whiskey Family. This is from the Lang Brothers family....

I just bought some of this from lidl - on offer at 10.99.On first tasting, sweet with no rough edge that you commonly get on blends and you can taste the malt at the back. Not very lingering, but who cares for 10.99. Good enough to drink neat on the rocks with a few olives.
