Kilchoman 4 Year Old 2007 - Single Cask Release (328/2007)

Kilchoman 4yo 2007 Bottling Note

A distillery-only release from Kilchoman Feis Ile 2012. It's a single cask malt matured in a bourbon cask from Buffalo Trace.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Heavy vanilla with a creaminess lent from the exclusive use of Buffalo Trace barrels.

Palate: Lemon curd with a tiny bit of smoke on the back—full and rich.

Finish: Crème brulée with an apparent burnt sugar coming through.

Overall: A well-rounded tasty Kilchoman.

Kilchoman 4 Year Old 2007 - Single Cask Release (328/2007) Reviews

Excellent Whisky from a very good distillery!

Not as good as an Octomore Comus 4.2 in the same range of price (about 150 euros), but I have to say that it is definitely a very good Whisky. Of course it is not the Whisky you would drink every day because of its price but if you can still find and afford a bottle just buy it ! You won't be disappointed !

Im no expert but whilst on holiday and a visit to the very friendly distillery I decided after a few different samples to opt for this one .
The nose - reminded me of the peat fires which burn of an evening on the isle and a slight salty taste which reminded me of the smell of Machir bay.The taste is vanilla and fruity, smooth as silk with a full finish that dances on your tonge but doesnt blow your cap off, mind you I did add a little water.Well done to everyone and I love the packaging but not as much as the whisky.
