A small batch bourbon from Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, packaged in an unusual, and rather smart Pot Still shaped bottle.

I was recommended Willett by a well versed young man whose knowledge was evident upon quizzing him thoroughly. I was looking to purchase Black Maple Hill 16-Year-Old Small Batch (and having no luck finding it). The young man pointed me to Willett instead. I was skeptical as I was just beginning to learn about bourbon and hadn't heard of Willett before. It's reputation for being one of the best is well deserved and I won't be caught without a bottle.

The only reason it's not getting a perfect score is because there's nothing "interesting" about it. This is probably the smoothest, easiest drinking bourbons under $50, maybe under $100. This has easily taken over as my "go to selection. If you see it, buy it. I'm within an hour of the distillery and it's not easy to get here.

Have tried a number of bourbons over the years and cannot fault this one at all. Delightful taste. The main problem that we have here in Scotland [other than comparing it to our malts] is the fact that it is very difficult to obtain from the run of the mill liquor stores. An easy sipping bourbon which is pleasant on the palate and has an aroma which is pleasing. Definately in my top three bourbons. Keep up the good work!!

The honey and maple on the nose open up to a wonderfully rich and pleasant finish with plenty of honey, caramel hints of nutmeg and hazelnut. Very smooth and very satisfying. This is one I will always have on hand, so long as they don't mess with the formula.

I am almost speechless. As mentioned before all I could say is simply superb. Others have already described this bourbon with accuracy.

I have had a lot of different bourbons and there were some I felt wet not to my tastings. Then there are some I enjoyed and have put on my list of enjoyable and would buy again. Then I tried this and to me ( I am no professional taster ) This is what to me a bourbon should taste like. When I first opened it, it had a slight burn to it, yet the flavour was nice, with the richness of caramel and vanilla. Yes others have this, but this was better than what I already tasted in my past. I came back in two days after opening it and I couldn't believe it. I almost had tears of joy in what I was tasting. I couldn't believe what I was enjoying. No more slight burn, it was gone but the flavour was the best I ever had. There's the flavour of nut meg infused with Carmel and reminds me of my mother's home made pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. For the first time ever in buying bourbon, I went back to where I bought it and bought another bottle of it. I normally don't do things like that. If you're looking for a bourbon that will give a total enjoyment in taste, this it. I would buy and try this. If you're not pleased with it, I am sorry for you.

Pleasantly simple and unpretentious.

Willett P.S.R. is perhaps one of the smoothest large batch bourbons in the country. It does not have the typical whisky burn but a smooth buttery and flavorful taste. Pot Still Reserve has a strong bouquet of spices and flowers. It is liquid autumn, you can taste apple, pumpkin, hints of nutmeg and allspice. There is still a nice full caramel body and that sugary bite at the end of each swig.

This Kentucky girl loves this burbon. Surprise start smooth finish.

I compared it to Buffalo Trace, which is my go to bourbon for old fashioneds. It is much smoother and finishes superbly. I bought it at Costco for $62 and change for 1.75L, which I now consider an incredible buy. Pick up a bottle and give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Decent boubon with a smooth finish. Subtle hits of vanilla and mint also intertwined. A bourbon of a different class, classy yet inexpensive.

Wanted to treat myself to something new as I don't usually go for bourbon whiskey. I've loved every moment of this bottle! Definitely a great introduction to bourbons.

I would rate this right up there at the top and I have tried a lot of bourbons.

This bourbon is in a category all its own from its unique bottle design to its rich aroma to its unique flavor. The nose is fruity, slight vanilla, and even a hint of butter. The bourbon packs several different flavors that hit you one after the next from sweet, to spice to the finish which is superb. Upon finishing the sip the ending is dry with almost a buttered popcorn and spice it is very interesting. Willett is one of the tastiest and smoothest bourbons I have tried and I plan to buy this brand again in the future.

great bourbon...hands down for any price
11th January 2015
I'm giving this five start because my liquor store had it mistakenly priced at $40, and at the rate it may be the best $40 Bourbon ever. It's got a great finish, a small cube and sip away. Even at regular prices this is a fine bourbon that anyone could enjoy.

I received a bottle as a gift. Only negative is that it is now finished! It therefore goes without saying that I was absolutely delighted with this wonderful bourbon. Would anyone reading this be kind enough to send me another? I doubt it as he/she will probably drink it him/her self!!!

This bourbon is ok. It's clean tasting with some spicy pepper and fruits on the palate. Enjoy it neat. I'm not that impressed, but that's my taste. You may have a different take on it.
4th July 2014
I enjoy this fine bourbon regularly.
9th April 2014
This is a beautifully packaged bourbon and it tastes amazing. I get this at my local for $35 which is a great price for this wonderful drink.
13th September 2013
A very complex bourbon which seems to have a chameleon character with varied notes. There was a slight medicinal note which I didn't care for. Overall very good.
17th December 2011
Just A little ice brings this Bourbon to life. Every sip feels like a special ocasion.
9th February 2011
Willett in its Pot Still shaped bottle tastes better than Honey Dew Vine Water and has a smooth showy Bourbon taste with sneaky high proof results. Enjoy with family or a friend.
5th January 2011
Willett's Single Barrel is a treat. Complex flavors and a unique smooth finish. If you're new to KY bourbon, this one is a good standard to educate your palate with. Worth every penny.
