Taiwanese single malt whisky from the Kavalan range, produced by the King Car distillery. This expression comes from their particularly exciting Solist range, which shows off how well their whisky matured in a variety of casks - the example you see before you was aged in re-toasted red and white wine casks!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango.

Palate Kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background waiting to be noticed.

Finish Clean and complex hints of chocolate and ripe fruit.

Unexpectedly wow!
A very complex whisky from the initial nose right through to the aftertaste. Very smooth despite the strength and the addition of a little water opens up a whole new vista. One to really savour on a cold winters night with the warming notes of fruit and chocolate reminiscent of Christmas.
