Paul John 7 Year Old 2009 Bottling Note

7 year old Indian single malt whisky here from the Paul John range, finished in an Oloroso Sherry cask! This was distilled in 2009 and bottled at cask strength in 2016 without any chill-filtration or additional colours. Due to Goa's warmer climes (compared to Scotland) means there’s more evaporation from the casks, but the whisky also shows well at a younger age.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich vanilla and dried orange, with Christmas cake and raisin developing later on.

Palate: Dark chocolate, pineapple, old oak, a heap of nutmeg and cinnamon.

Finish: Clove, cinnamon and raisin notes last.
