It's really quite difficult to think of Jack Daniel's without picturing the black-and-white label. But there was a time when the famous Tenessee whiskey looked like this. Before 1904, to be precise. Or the "bright green and gold label days", as they were presumably known. This Jack Daniel's limited edition is a limited bottling, an ideal choice for those want to recognise the brand's colourful history...

I can't compare to standard JD as not tried it in ages, but the legacy editions are fine, Its ok neat, I prefer it over ice, though I actually still think this is better as a mixer, the likes of Makers Mark, Bulleit are much nicer neat and my go to at this price range.
Seems smoother than regular old no 7 over ice. Everything considered including the price this is possibly the best Jack Daniels. I like it a lot. Hope it remains a permanent bottling.
