Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold Bottling Note

Created by taking Jack Daniel's standard Tennessee whisky (No. 7) and then "double barreling and double mellowing" it - meaning it enjoys an extra maturation period in maple wood before being double charcoal filtered.

Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold Reviews

One of their best products to date. I hope they put it into regular production.

I've been drinking JD for about 30 years now. This is the best Jack i have ever had. The Sinatra was also excellent. Ordered 3 bottles so far 1 of which i gave to my Dad who is a Squire like myself. Going to order more. The shipping is worth it.

Jack Daniels did a fantastic job with this Whiskey!

I bought a bottle while visiting the distillery in Lynchburg Tennessee and left me wanting more. Unfortunately only place in the USA to purchase so far is at the distillery. I’m glad Masters of Malt is here to help get me my fix! Very happy with purchase and arrived in California in just a few days! I would recommend all whiskey drinkers to try Jack Gold and can’t go wrong ordering from Masters of Malt!

Best JD ever made

I spend around $150 a bottle for this Jack. It is not sold USA . I like it better then some of the scotches I drink.. Well worth the price and shipping

The Best Jack Daniel Yet

By far the smoothest Jack Daniels I have ever had. The double mellowing has left nothing but awesome flavors.

less flavor

its very smooth but seems to have lost a bit of its JD flavor. I definitely prefer Single Barrel or even Gentlemen Jack

Refined JD

Just purchased in cozumel, mexico last week. Took my first sip tonight and! I love orig. JD and this is a smooth, refined sipping version of the original. Even my husband, who is a scotch drinker, was wowed by it. He doesn't like to drink Tennessee bourbon but was impressed with how smooth no. 27 gold was. I am so glad I splurged in the duty free shop and brought home a bottle!!

Good whisky

Incredibly smooth, but just not JD

I found this to be somewhat disappointing. On the one hand, JD have done a fantastic job at creating what I would consider to be their most refined whisky yet, and so for this reason I do not think its price is unreasonable. However, its mellow flavour and smoothness really leaves it too far removed from what I consider JD to be. It is almost flavourless compared to the full flavour one expects of JD, and the fact that it is so smooth also detracts from the JD brand. I like a smooth whisky, but I want just a little roughness when I drink JD.

In summary, JD have done a masterful job at creating a smooth, mellow whisky. I just think they've done too good a job - very easy to drink, but just not enough character left to know this is JD once it is out of the bottle.
