Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this edition of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is bottled at 100 proof, adhering to the rules sets as part of the Bottled in Bond Act, which was passed all the way back in 1897. The bumped-up ABV helps bring forward the bright fruit and oak spice notes.
Cooked fruit dusted with cinnamon, toasted brown sugar and almond.
Green apple and fried banana, paired with maple syrup and punchy black pepper.
Oak and toffee stick around on the finish.
Jack Daniels BIB is a fine straight whiskey . I have never had a BIB whiskey that disappointed, JD BIB is no exception. With JD Old #7 now being only 80 proof, BIB is worth the few extra $. The notes of brown sugar, caramel and spices linger for a spell with a good, but not overwhelming heat. signature. pairs well with a good$10.00 cigar.
waaaaaaaawwww goooooood
Bought it in Duty Free at a German airport during travel. I didn't have high expectations, but I am quite experienced with high proof bourbons to pass my judgement. This one disappointed me a bit. I am a big fan of JD Single Barrel, I also drink No.7 as a cheap, pub quality whiskey so I do not have a problem with the brand. This BiB should be much better for what it is. It's thin, like someone removed few layers of taste. Taste itself is not bad if you like No.7 just I was expecting much more essence since more ABV should carry more flavour. The signature JD bananas are subdued. Overall, it is drinkable BiB but for the same money you can get Single Barrel which is a notch above. Or get Evan Williams BiB for less and have more fun with it. Yours truly, Bog Standard Dram
Very nice tasting would drink this everyday of the week this would have to be one of Jack Daniels best by far
