Jura 19yo 1998 #2162 Bottling Note

19 year old single malt from the Isle of Jura distillery, aged in a single bourbon hogshead. It was distilled in September 1998 and left to slumber for nearly two decades, before Hannah Whisky Merchants came along and bottled it up as part of the Lady of the Glen range, with an outturn of 230 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Grilled pineapple and sugary biscuit dough. A light touch of thyme hides underneath.

Palate: Butterscotch, Jaffa Cakes, nutty barley and clove.

Finish: Soft hints of sawdust and cut grass stick around on the finish.

Jura 19 Year Old 1998 (cask 2162) - Lady of the Glen (Hannah Whisky Merchants) Reviews

Not their best.

Nose is light and floral, some toasted sesame seeds, wood shavings. The Palate is a different story, ABV overpowers senses. With water there is sawdust and long grass.
