Invergordon 45yo 1974 Bottling Note

If well-aged single grain whisky is your thing, feast your eyes upon this 45 year old expression from the Invergordon Distillery, independently bottled up at Single Cask Nation! This expression was distilled all the way back in 1974, and it was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel until November 2019, when it was bottled at 46.9% ABV. Only 194 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: A pleasing nose of vanilla ice cream, stewed peaches and summer berries. After a while a more savoury green tea note drifts in.

Palate: Rich and creamy like a scone topped with home-made lemon curd and clotted cream (decadent, we know!). Time on the palate opens up the cereal character with a hint of citrus zest to keep it fresh.

Finish: Well balanced with the oak leaving a lingering sweet oak finish.
