Inchgower 20yo #12516 Bottling Note

This fruity Speysider was distilled at Inchgower in December 1997 and placed into a single refill hogshead for the next two decades. In October 2018, at the age of 20 years old, the single malt was bottled by Douglas Laing. The hogshead yielded 138 bottles at 51.5% ABV, released for the Old Particular series.

Nose: Spiced stewed apple, with a dusting of icing sugar and a drizzle of caramel.

Palate: Victoria sponge cake with a good helping of strawberry jam, with toasted and slightly burnt malt.

Finish: Tart berries alongside sweet toffee apple, with some buttered toast lingering.
