Inchgower 18 Year Old 1998 (cask 12102) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Inchgower 18yo #12102 Bottling Note

Yummy, Speyside whisky from Inchgower that was distilled back in November 1998 and set aside to mature in a refill Sherry butt for 18 years, until September 2017. That's when, in their infinite wisdom, Douglas Laing bottled this single cask, non-chill filtered single malt Scotch for the stunning Old Particular range, with an outturn of 363 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Toasted bread with a layer of honey, with blackberry and juicy honeydew melon rising through dry earth.

Palate: Orange oil and ground Christmas spices, plenty of vanilla and sprinkles of cumin and crunchy brown sugar.

Finish: Thick barley sweetness, marmalade on rye bread and vegetal oak.
