Imperial 1979 Bottling Note

This whisky is from the moth-balled distillery of Imperial. Although the distillery is currently silent, independent bottlers such as Signatory have bottled previous stock for your delectation.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A burst of lemon zest with floral notes of elderflower, chased by zesty orange and a herbaceousness.

Palate: The palate is alive with citrus fruit notably Seville orange and lime with an underlying earthiness.

Finish: The finish is fairly gentle with further earthy notes and some spice developing in the background.

Overall: A citrus-focussed dram with other pleasing flavours to provide complexity.
