A bottling of a 19-year-old Imperial single cask malt by Lorne Mackillop, who is descended from one of the survivors of the massacre of the Mackillop Clan at the hands of the english redcoats in 1745.
Nose: Unctuous, toffee sweetness, but also a hint spirity and medicinal. Hints of roast potatoes and vanilla pods in ice cream.
Palate: Soft, creamy, also with citrus tones. Floral, yet also sweet and vanilla too. Elegant and fine.
Finish: Nice citrussy finish.
Overall: A light, sweet, creamy whisky, very elegantly structured.
