A 17 year old Imperial distilled in May of 1995 and aged in a refill hogshead before bottling in May of 2012. This is a single cask release from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range, and there are just of 317 bottles.
Nose: Spiced, with notes of pipe tobacco, walnut, hints of honey and barley.
Palate: Malty palate with notes of tobacco, seaweed, sweet cereals, acacia honey and pepper.
Finish: A hint of mint on the finish…
