House of Hazelwood 18yo Bottling Note

The entry level expression from William Grant's spectacularly handsome House of Hazelwood blended Scotch whisky series, inspired by 1920s. This expression is made with whiskies aged for at least 18 years, and comes presented in a bottle and box that wouldn't look out of place of Jay Gatsby's drinks trolley.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Crisp cereal coated in honey, fresh orange blossom and a wave of green apple sweetness.

Palate: Creamy on the palate with big bundles of vanilla. A hint of coconut ice and dried fruit.

Finish: A slow rumble of spice develops on the palate.

House of Hazelwood 18 Year Old Reviews

Delicate nose, bitter finish

I was holding off opening this because the bottle looks amazing. Was a bit disappointed once I finally opened it. A delicate whisky, maybe too delicate for me. A bit perfumy, leaves a bitter taste.

Light, easy, bland

Very light whisky, easy on the palette but borderline bland for me.
