Highland Park 18yo #11364 Bottling Note

Independently bottled single malt from the excellent Highland Park distillery on Orkney, aged in a refill hogshead cask for 18 years. It was distilled in September 1997 and bottled in August 2016 by Douglas Laing for their Xtra Old Particular range, which is reserved for rare, exciting expressions. 285 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sea breeze and stony beaches, leading into touches of smoked meats. Rosemary and sage, with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Palate: Toffee-dipped biscuits, cooking spice, sweet peat and toasted rye bread. A hint of cider apple on the mid-palate.

Finish: Buttered crumpets, cookie dough and lingering smoke.
