Highland Park 16yo 2004 Bottling Note

A sherried single malt here from the Highland Park Distillery on Orkney, distilled back in 2004. It was aged in a first-fill sherry hogshead for 16 years, before being independently bottled by the long-running indie bottler, Gordon & MacPhail. Only 318 bottles were released as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dates, walnuts, a hint of green olive underneath soft smoke.

Palate: Quite chocolatey, though dried fruit notes remain in the vicinity. Forest floor and caraway.

Finish: Lingering peat smoke and dark chocolate once again.
