An 8 year old blended malt from Gordon and MacPhail, celebrating the Royal Highland Fusiliers, a regiment of the Scottish infantry.
The nose is medium-bodied and quite smooth. There is a defined sweetness with notes of sherried nut and milk chocolate, a hint of spice and smoke with plenty of cereal and a little caramel. The palate is of medium-body with more sweetness. There are notes of cereals and toasty oak, a touch of sherry develops with a little dryness. The finish is of good length with a touch of caramel and oak.
