Haig Dimple, or 'Dimple Pinch' as it's called in the US of A, recently popped up in everybody's favourite programme Breaking Bad! A blend with a high malt proportion, including whiskies from Glenkinchie and Linkwood.
"Dimple Pinch. Neat."
Nose: Medium-body with warming notes of spice and caramel.
Palate: Well-balanced with smooth notes of honey and toffee, a little smoke and malted barley with just a hint of oak.
Finish: Short and there are notes of fudge and oak.

So good you will have to guard yourself from enjoying it too much and too fast. This juice should be savored to the very last drop. Enjoy.

It is upthere among the best. I am rotating between Chivas 12, Dimple 15, Chivas 18, Wootford Reserve, Jack Daniels single barrel, Hennessy Fine and Hennessy regular. I am not afraid to admit, that there are days that I think Dimple 15 is the best of all mentioned here. And is most versatile pick of all those. And yes. If your palate likes Chivas 12 over JWB 12 (like me), then you are gonna love Dimple 15 even more than Chivas 12.

The best blend out there!

This is Dimple 15 years old at 40 % abv, Dimple Pinch is 43 % abv and I think for the US market only. The 40 % abv is a great dram and a great buy. But, more alcohol more flavor, so I say give Pinch a chance too. You won't regret it...

Got a bottle on golden mile in Edinburgh. A favourite since 1978 when first tasted so had to buy one. A very good blended whisky with some complexity, yet so palatable and quoffable. So smooth and silky. I agree it's such a shame it's not easily available but not tasted this for 30+ years. I did enjoy both the anticipation and the tasting. Enjoy this really good 15 y.o. blend or if you can get one!

My second favorite after Ballantine's 17, although B17 is in a higher price bracket. The Dimple is very good indeed and one of the few blends with a decent finish with a touch of oak an smoke. I can't understand why this is no longer readily available in the UK. It is yet another Diageo marketing mystery along with the demise of Johnnie Walker Green that does not make any sense to us mere mortal consumers.

You'd have to spend a lot more money to find a better blended scotch.By the way, "Pinch" is 12 years old and "Dimple Pinch" is 15 years old. They aren't the same thing. I've seen Pinch, but never tried it. I'll stick with the older sister.

Nose rounds out in the glass nicely. Very mild and smooth on the tongue. Fast finish with no lingering. A good starting glass of whiskey. A tad sweet. Almost delicate. Definitely a sipping whiskey and not for mixing, where it would get lost. Good value.

I've been a single malt fan for over forty years so when I received this blended whisky as a retirement present I put it in a cupboard and never gave it much thought. I was going off for a week's break and was looking for a suitable single malt to take with me for my evening tipple when I decided to take along the Haigs 15 year old instead. It was a very, very pleasant surprise so much so it's high up on my list of weekend drams.

One of the best blended scotch I have had.

Everyone mentions Breaking Bad, but it should be noted that in the early Thin Man series William Powell drinks Dimple Pinch. If good enough for Wm Powell, its good enough for me. Actually this is a great blend. Well balanced with notes of Carmel and malt w/o a long finish. A top shelf whisky.

This is one superb whisky! It is big in the mouth, has a slightly peaty start, descending into smooth and warming caramel notes and certainly a fortified wine barrel finish... sorry for the Goolden touch.. but is seems that Dimple is now export only, or buy expensively via websites???!!! Spending several months of the year close to the Spanish border, I find both Dimple and Pinch (also great!) at around €19 a bottle..... lucky me!

I received this from my father in law and I really enjoyed it. I am usually an Islay scotch drinker, so this was a nice change of pace. This is a very good priced Scotch and has gotten very popular since it was showcased on the tv series Breaking Bad (it was Walter White's final drink).

My grandfather and my father thought this was the finest of its kind going back to the 1930's. An elegant and refined blend, Dimple (or "Pinch" as it was known) is still this household's favorite

By far the most complex and pleasurable scotch I have ever tasted. Normally when you have a large change from tongue to after taste....one of them is bad. This has a beautiful smell. It has a smoothness that can't be matched. And it is all wrapped up with an after taste of slight nuttiness that makes you beg for more. This just leaves me speechless. It is amazing. No other words for it. My favorite scotch. Find some so you can enjoy it as I do.

The Dimple Pinch is the name of this blend in the USA, which also explains the size of the bottle. But they are the same product. --The Chaps at Master of Malt

my bottle has "the dimple (small letters} Pinch( letters about 4 times bigger). i cannot find this on any site. is it rare? it is a 750 ml bottle of 15 year blended scotch

The Vacuum Repairman told me not to leave my safe house, but I had to walk the 8 miles in the snow to this one-horse town just to get a taste of that sweet, sweet Dimple Pinch.

It's Heisenberg's signature drink!
24th September 2013
A very enjoyable drink and an affordable luxury. I rate it very highly as a blended Scotch.
17th August 2013
This is not single malt, it's blend of Malt and grain whiskies.
5th January 2013
This was the first single malt whiskey I tasted and the best! I have tried other single malt whiskies as well but nothing comes closer...

An elegant blend which will grace any bar cabinet. Rich and complex with higher proportions of aged malts, this whisky has a body, aroma, palate and finish of a vintage thoroughbred. Pinch or Dimple has been bottled in this unique bottle for a generation and over and brings a big smile whenever I see this. Impressive and consistent over the years though the same cannot be said about its availability.
