Limeburners M104 Bottling Note

Single malt whisky from Australia, distilled by the Great Southern Distilling Company. Limeburners have been incredibly popular and, from what we can see here from this single cask release, we're sure it will continue to be well loved indeed. It was finished in an old Australian fortified wine cask. Barrel M104 had an outturn of 322 bottles.

Hello there. You are certainly correct. In fact, although the Southern Distilling Company did initially call them port casks, they will now use the term fortified wine in line with EU regulation. As such, we have amended the product description. --The Chaps at Master of Malt

I thought the term was reserved for fortified wines from Portugal?
