A former travel retail exclusive, Grant's Elementary Copper 29-year-old is a well-aged blended Scotch whisky that celebrates the very essential role copper plays during whisky making. As a blended whisky, this expression was created with malted barley that was distilled in a copper pot still and grain whisky that was produced in a column still, where it came into contact with copper plates.
This bottling was matured for at least 29 years in a combination of American and European oak casks that were hand selected by Master Blender, Brian Kinsman before it was bottled at 40% ABV.
Nose: Tropical fruit, sweet toffee and toasted, mature oak.
Palate: Honeyed, vanilla oaky notes lead with prickly winter spice, grassy barley and sharp marmalade.
Finish: Aromatic butterscotch lingers.
