Glenury Royal 1970 Bottling Note

This is a late addition to the Diageo Special Releases 2011 having been released in 2012. The Glenury Royal distillery was closed in 1985 and was later demolished. There have been very few recent bottlings of this rare whisky making it a favourite with collectors.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: This is a leathery whisky with notes of nuts, chocolate and toffee.

Palate: The palate has notes of dark chocolate, coffee and traditional orange marmalade.

Finish: The finish is long with deeper notes of chocolate, Brazil nuts and oak.

Overall: A forty year old whisky displaying its age very well.
