Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Generous layers of toffee apples, melted chocolate, and Malted Milk biscuits, supported by dark, cocoa-dusted cherries and nutty praline. Toasted oak brings delicate vanilla in the distance.

Palate Buttered, seeded bread, followed by fruit-studded tea loaf. Dried orange peels and hints of crème brûlée cushion hearty oak spice, with just a smidge of rosemary poking through.

Finish Oily malt, vanilla custard, and plump sultanas finish things up, with a flash of smoked paprika and burnt caramel.

It's WAY better than ok.
Not sure where the other reviewer is getting (or expecting to get) 21yo whisky for less than this, but for me this was a stunning drop, showcasing maturity with time and air rather than oak and woodiness. A malty, creamy, nutty and biscuity malt that shows oodles of distillery character and takes water well

It's ok.
It's ok. Not sure what it's been doing for 21 years, but it's like a nice glenmorangie, bit middle of the road granddad will like it kind of. Not bad at all, but it's pricing has more to do with the age statement than anything else. Would've been 4 stars at £70, but at £90 I expect a bit more.
