Glenrothes 1995 American Bottling Note

A 1995 vintage single malt from the Glenrothes distillery in Speyside, which has been aged exclusively in American oak casks seasoned with dry Oloroso Sherry and bottled in 2016. Richly creamy with hints of honey'd fruit and cinnamon spiciness.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cracked black pepper, strawberries and cream, lemon meringue, apricot.

Palate: Sweet at first with juicy plum and orange. A savoury hint of buttered corn underneath. Softly simmering hints of hot cinnamon.

Finish: Crunchy brown sugar, sultanas, vanilla.

Time adds so much

Pick this one up. Even better than the original 95 vintage. The extra years aging have added a dimension that is simply too exquisite for words
