This was distilled at the Glenrothes distillery in June 1990 and aged for 21 years in a single refill butt before bottling in September 2011 for Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range. A release of 328 bottles.
Nose: Coconut and stewed fruits, honey, soy sauce and espresso beans, a hint of ginger.
Palate: Blackberry crumble, walnuts, hazelnut liqueur, brandy butter, cooked banana.
Finish: Honey, liquorice. Charred oak.
