Glenrothes is a classic Speyside whisky and this bottling offers up some aged delights from 1979, no less.
Nose: Masses of stewing dried fruits, almost mincepie-elike, with lashings of Acacia honey and fresh baked Christmas cake.
Palate: The palate is rich and intense yet smooth and accommodating with notes of raisins and sultanas with icing sugar and nutmeg following.
Finish: The finish is surprisingly clean with a wealth of red berry fruits and melted dark chocolate.
Overall: This Glenrothes defines rich whisky and is a treat for anyone who gets to sample this mighty malt.

I had two bottles, now I got one. It's a soft whisky that pleases like no other. Lasts for hours. Got one left, now I know.
