Definitely worth a try!

2014 when I first came across it - saw its box in the Pot Still bar in Glasgow. Was fascinated by its colour, and very happy with its taste. Had some in good company for my birthday shortly after - fond memories, which I need to rekindle when I can! Sorry no tasting notes.

Just perfect

It's superb as good as whisky 3 times it's price ... my absolute find of 2019. Does anyone else get a bit of coconut in there somewhere?

Young, need some more maturation.

It is not bad by any means. Just young. The nose is fresh. The arrival is promising, but the development and finishing is one dimensional and short. Lack of complexity in a nutshell. Hope to taste a 10-12 years old version. The distillery should be ready to put that out, isn’t it?

Great whisky at the price.

Excellent whisky. Smooth soft taste.

Yes. Young but tamed by the barrels.Solid 5 star for me.

I am a fan of young whiskeys if they are well and honestly made, not rushed to get the sales done. This one is on the edge of pungency of new spirit and oak influence. Not overly complex but honestly done and tasty.

Hot and soft

Just a nice dram. Touch of pineapple and a charred pear note on the start. Soft fine tone of floral honey and a sultry peppery burn to finish. The bourbon let’s you know it’s here in a subtle brown sugar touch. You know it’s a 50 when you pour the second glass, but that nectar calls you back.....

Having tried revival and being very impressed I am always on the lookout for bottles from this distillery and evolution was well worth the search. This is my ideal highland whisky, non sherried first fill american whiskey cask , non chill filtered, natural color, and bottled at 50%. I don't even need to say more but I will of course. This is a young looking whisky but you will be amazed at it's smoothness and complexity. Loads of tropical fruit, vanilla bean, honey, flowers, and a hint of sea breeze. Reminds me of "The Laddie" but more refined and smoother. This is officially my favorite highland whisky beating out Dalwhinnie 15 for my top spot in this category. Excellent example of the style and remarkable considering this distillery only just re opened in 2008. Can't wait to see what Glenglassaugh's 12 year whiskies will be like. Cheers! The Sugarbear

Best in class

Perfect nose, nice and soft as for 50% palate, very good finish. Comparable to Balcones Texas Single Malt which was my favorite among 50% whiskies.
