Glenglassaugh 39 YO #3170 Bottling Note

A stunning 39 year old single malt from Glenglassaugh, a distillery that was of course closed from 1985 through to 2005. Finished in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry hogshead, just 205 bottles were filled in September 2015 for the second batch of Rare Cask releases.

These bottles were part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Producer's Tasting Note:
Nose: A delicate combination of salted caramel, rosehip and yellow plum compote gives a sophisticated sherried nose.
Palate: Soft tropical fruits warmed by stem ginger and a dusting of vanilla develop to delicate dried pineapple and a rich barley back note.
