A 33 year old from the Glenfiddich distillery, distilled in 1973 and aged in second fill Spanish sherry butts.
The nose is rich and fruity. Notes of fruit and nut loaf, toasted granary bread with melting butter, cereal sweetness and barley sugar. The palate is full and firm. Notes of fruity and dried peels, a touch of vanilla spice and cereal notes. The barley sweetness pertains a whirling soft smoke with a touch of dark rum and developing oaked edge. The finish is long and well oaked with honeyed cereal tones.
