Glenfiddich 12 single malt whisky is part of the distillery's flagship collection. It is an award-winning Speyside whisky and an excellent choice for seasoned sippers or those who are new to whisky. It has lots of light and fruity flavours thanks to a high cut point. Aged for 12 years in American and European oak casks, it's also the world's most awarded single malt!
Grain. Slightly floral, mineralic. Spirity, orchard fruit, malty, honey. Citrus develops.
Light, floral, spices. Very smooth.
Sweet, touch of oak and general fruit, oily.
Stereotypical Speyside. Consistent - a good benchmark.
$31.62 - $195.65
Good finish. Perhaps not challenging enough.
It's a 12-year-old single-malt Scotch Whisky, alright. Simple, plain, understated, classic. Drinkable, easily. But not as exciting as SO many other options out there. Even from Glenfiddich.
Ah ah, I know what you're thinking. Did he drink six drams or only five? Well, being as this here's Glenfiddich 12, the most popular malt in the world, and one shot will blow your head clean off, you got to ask yourself one question. Do ya feel lucky? Well do ya, punk?
Not tried this since the '80's, still find it inferior to other similar priced malts...is ok...but don't 'hit the spot' .
Smells quite floral and light with bits of citrusy fruits, tastes very much how it smells with an obvious grassy note , youthful and lacking in any real depth, still bits of interest but overall very generic compared to others I've been trying.
