The fifth release of the 1967 family cask from Glenfarclas. This was taken from sherry hogshead 5110, and it was bottled in 2010. A very sweet, fruity example of Glenfarclas…
Nose: A woody, cedar-y nose with notes of honey, cigar boxes and dried peels. Some prune, pepper and vanilla, with a hint of freshly baked biscuits.
Palate: Sweet and juicy, it explodes with notes of pepper and plum, Damson jam and honeycomb. It also pertains to that same cigar leaf spice that was present on the nose.
Finish: Orange peel and spices, a long, rewarding finish.
