GlenDronach 44 YO 1968 Bottling Note

Recherché is a very special release indeed with 1968 being the year that the oldest maturing casks in the GlenDronach warehouses were laid down. As this bottling's name suggests (recherché being the French for 'sought out'), this cask - an Oloroso Sherry butt - was carefully selected from amongst these extraordinarily aged whiskies for its fruitiness and venerable grace.

Just 632 bottles were produced at natural cask strength.

GlenDronach 44 Year Old 1968 Recherché (cask 005) Reviews

Luis's 5 star rating of a unique rare scotch

I purchased the bottle approximately 25 years ago. The bottle was shelved, misplaced and forgotten. I discovered the bottle last week, poured a drink and enjoyed its unique fruitiness taste. After researching its history online, I realized its history, value and rarity.
