This 1990 vintage Glendronach was aged for a full 22 years in a beautiful Pedro Ximenez dessert sherry puncheon. Batch 6 was bottled at natural cask strength and there are just 539 bottles.
Nose: Sweet Christmassy flavours, with hints of nutmeg, cloves, thick sherry, brandy, chocolate oranges and pepper.
Palate: Pipe tobacco-esque sweetness and spiciness, with notes of vanilla, liqueur cherries, milk chocolate, cedar and a little Christmas pudding.
Finish: Very creamy and thick - pepper and rancio! Sweet too…
