Glencadam may be one of the lesser-known distilleries but it generally produces a great malt. This bottling, from Gordon and MacPhail, is slightly phenolic with a smoky edge. It was matured in refil bourbon casks.
Nose: Sweet and earthy on the nose - a woodland walk. Some faint peat with apricots and nectarines.
Palate: Spicy with cedar wood, dry grass and a fragrant note. Slightly creamy with a hint of white chocolate.
Finish: The finish is smooth and long with spiced chocolate notes.
Overall: A tasty dram with a pleasant balance.
