Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Strawberry waffles, roasty malt, and peach tart.

Palate: Sherried fruits, raisins, dates, and dried apricot. Some grassy, vegetal spice with increasingly warming baking spice.

Finish: Redcurrant jelly and more jam tart fruitiness, along with boozy raisins and berries, cinnamon, and bitter chocolate.

Glenburgie 8 Year Old 2012 (cask 128) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.) Reviews

The Marsala cask did a good job here. Better balanced after 2 drops of water.

Nose: Zebra cake and the inside of a tiramisu. Also apricot marmalade. 2nd nose brings hints of yeast. Time brings gingerbread. With water : more apricot marmalade. Palate : Apricot and zebra cake. A bit hot. Water softens it nicely. Finish: warm and citrusy , a bit sour (less with water).
