Glenburgie 10yo 2011 Bottling Note

Glorious single malt from Glenburgie, distilled in 2011 and matured for a decade in first-fill bourbon barrels. In 2022, the casks were opened up by indie bottler Càrn Mòr, releasing a total of 847 bottles for the Strictly Limited collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Floral berries with vanilla cream, sweet pastry, soft stone fruits.

Palate: The fruitiness continues with peach, apricot, and citrus peel. Toffee sweetness softens warming wafts of nutmeg.

Finish: Spiced oak, buttery popcorn, a touch of ginger.

Usual Carn Mor excellence
I have quite a few Carn Mor bottlings in my collection and all of them are excellent. This one is no exception. As usual it is 47.5%, ncf and natural colour - just how I like my drams, if they're not cask strength. The tasting notes above a spot on but I would emphasise the spicy finish which lingers long.
