Glenallachie 27yo #16483 Bottling Note

This single malt was distilled over at Glenallachie in Speyside in June 1992. It was left to age in a single refill hogshead for almost three decades, until Hunter Laing cracked open the cask in October 2019. Just 296 bottles were released at 27 years old, weighing in at 50% ABV for the Old Malt Cask series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla shortbread biscuits, with ripe apples and pears, and zesty orange sponge cake.

Palate: Sweet, fragrant cut grass, with luxurious crème pâtissière and Highland flowers.

Finish: Lemon drizzle cake and more of those ripe orchard fruits linger.
