GlenAllachie 12 Year Old 2008 (cask 1867) - Single Cask

GlenAllachie 12yo #1867 Bottling Note

A marvellous single cask bottling of GlenAllachie single malt here, drawn from a single Port pipe! It was distilled back in 2008, and bottled up in 2020 after 12 years of maturation, resulting in 700 bottles, presented at cask strength. Enjoyably decadent stuff, this.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Treacle tart, juicy redcurrant and apple, just a hint of earthy oak.

Palate: Spicy at first with cinnamon and nutmeg, before chocolate and more redcurrant sweetness comes along to mellow it out.

Finish: A touch of chocolatey coffee on the finish.

GlenAllachie 12 Year Old 2008 (cask 1867) - Single Cask Reviews

This just could be the nearest you get to the answer of life itself

Undoubtedly the finest dram I've tasted to date.
Wow...... this one is like biting into a sweet dark chocolate sherry cherry lollipop with the lightest dusting of fine black pepper on it. The pepper is just to you let know that your really alive and not died and gone to dram heaven .
It also feels like it's as thick sweet treacle too in your mouth too.

Amazing

Really great dram with a lovely nose of honey and nutmeg, developing into a palate full of dark chocolate, cinnamon and mocha. Loved it!
