We've got the seventh batch of GlenAllachie's 10 Year Old Cask Strength single malt Scotch whisky right here, folks! For this particular edition, the team has combined whisky from Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheons, as well as helpings of whisky from virgin oak and Rioja casks. It's been bottled up at cask strength (as the name suggests), weighing in at 56.8% ABV. Big, bold, and flavoursome stuff, this.
Nose: Nutmeg and dark chocolate, with some rich red wine notes building in the background.
Palate: Coffee, orange oil, rounded malt, peppercorn, ginger, redcurrant, Picnic bars.
Finish: A final touch of orange zest and festive spice.
