Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour

Glen Scotia Harbour Bottling Note

From Campbeltown's Glen Scotia comes Campbeltown Harbour, a little nod to the maritime nature of the whisky. The lightly peated single malt has been matured exclusively in first fill bourbon casks, so there's a good dose of toffee among the more savoury seaside notes.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Toffee penny, iodine and flamed heather, with hints of smoke and sea spray.

Palate: Apple crumble and more florals, with a herbaceous undertone followed by brine and fudge.

Finish: Dry smoke alongside a sweet, caramel-forward finish.

Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour Reviews

Harsh af

Harsh sour and raw alcohol. Similar to talisker storm but less peated
I would not buy again.
Shame because the 15 is one of my faves

Not enjoyable

Rough and underwhelming the doublecask which I enjoyed for around the same price is MUCH much better- thought I’d try this for something different-this stuff is hardly drinkable young and soapy, I guess if JW is your baseline you might find it ok , but otherwise avoid this ; will be used as a mixer

Buy it. Has the toffee sweet overtone I love Better than rum finish

A superb dram. Lived in Campbeltown 77 - 85 as a young boy....Very proud of this expression. Have recommended it to friends. A great whisky at a great price.

Rough

Toffee and salt (and some "manky" fruit). Poor stuff - not worth the £25 paid.

More interesting than your average Speyside

Buy when it's on offer. Really nice, not very peated as one reviewer has said but its not meant to be. One of my favourite NAS whisky more interesting than your average Speyside

Comme ci comme ca!

Somewhat disappointing! Tastewise not sufficiently peated.

Phenomenal value.

This is sold out on master of malt- I managed to get it in a supermarket. This is one of the best priced whiskies I’ve found. After 35 years of speyside, highland and lowland, and avoiding the cliche’d name, I realise I’ve had the blinkers on . This is phenomenal value. I know whisky is subjective, but this is exactly what I’ve been looking for and it’s a reasonable price. Ive has a couple of expressions now and I admit I’ve had better, but at five times the cost. New favourite distillery.
