Glen Grant 23yo #9711 Bottling Note

An incredible Glen Grant single malt here, independently bottled for the Lady of the Glen series. It was distilled in 1998, and initially aged in a refill butt, before being finished in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. At 23 years of age, Hannah Whisky Merchants bottled it up, with an outturn of only 307 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dates and prunes, with vibrant orange peel, plus some tree bark woodiness.

Palate: Chocolatey on the palate, with underlying vanilla and barley spiciness. Still got oodles of dried fruit notes to it.

Finish: Lasting Christmas cake notes, with a good helping of clove.
