Glen Grant 1968 Bottling Note

The 1968 vintage from Gordon and MacPhail's thorough range of Glen Grant bottlings. This was matured in first fill sherry casks. The bottlers comment on this "after dinner, with a cigar?"

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite full and rich with a profusion of sherry notes, steeping the peels and gentle smoke with pep. Notes of juicy fresh fruits and a touch of berry fruits. There are notes of cut herbs and acacia honey. The palate is quite smoky and full. There are notes of espresso beans and sherried winter fruitcake. Notes of cloves and cinnamon and dark brown sugar with just a touch of rum. The finish is long and fruity with plenty of wood smoke.
