Glen Grant 1953
A very dark whisky, aged for 48 years, a well-matured, rare single malt from Glen Grant.
The nose is full and rich. There are notes of orange zest and hints of Seville marmalade. There are feinty hints of leather and cigar box. Winter spice and mocchaccino with a touch of barley sugar and menthol. The palate is full and well-balanced. There are notes of apple peel and juicy pear with marmalade and winter spice. Hints of menthol and a soft smoke. The finish is long with a dryness and a touch of zest.
