Glen Avon 1959 Bottling Note

This was distilled at a secret distillery in Speyside in 1959 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail as part of their Glen Avon range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is fresh, light and sweet. There are beautiful notes of sultana and mixed peels, an Oloroso sherry note develops with a touch of cut fruit. The palate is of good body, there are rich notes of wood smoke and barley, a honeyed character and sherried peels, a chewy sultana note develops with supple oak. The finish is long and well-oaked with a touch of sultana and Oloroso.
